Tyndale values the unity of vision and lifestyle that a partnership between church, home and school offers students. We recognise that we are members of the body of Christ and as such, shoulder the responsibility of Christian education together.

The Tyndale community has grown from an original Reformed Church base to embrace Christian parents from a wide variety of Christian denominations and many cultural backgrounds. The students and families currently enrolled at Tyndale represent over 90 Christian Churches.

Tyndale is passionate about the care and welfare of students as they move through Prep to Year 12.

With children at school 6-7 hours a day we believe it is vital that parents from within the school community have an active input into the selection of staff. This is achieved through the Board of Directors who are elected by an Association of parents. All staff are Christians and committed to the Lord. They are well qualified and dedicated to nurture, guide and teach the students.

Tyndale is set on 5.6 hectares and caters for students from Prep to Year 12. This allows families to have all their children attending the same school, eliminating the need to move to another location for High School.

The school is located approximately 2 kms from Blacktown railway station and is serviced by local bus routes.

William Tyndale (1494-1536), the name behind our school, was responsible for translating most of the Scriptures to English. He was a brilliant scholar who received his MA degree at Oxford, aged 21, and became fluent in eight languages. He was also the first man to print the New Testament in English. – using Gutenberg’s moveable-type press to do so.

Convinced that salvation is a gift of God, obtained only by faith, not by works, and that the way to understanding God is through His Word, Tyndale made it his goal to ‘make the Scriptures available to the common people, in their mother tongue’.

William Tyndale faced much opposition in trying to translate and distribute the Bible, as the Church felt their position of power was threatened. Later, he was tried for heresy and treason against the king, and sentenced to death. However, this courageous man of God left a legacy that has not eroded with time…

It is our goal at Tyndale Christian School that each student will uphold this legacy by using their talents for the Lord’s service and seeking to glorify Him in word, thought, and deed.
