Fencing provides a sport for individuals & teams to develop and find the courage within ones self in the discipline of European Olympic Fencing.

All equipment is provided at training. You can also purchase equipment off the head coach - who has been making and supplying tailored equipment for many years.

University training is open to anyone who can regularly train with the energetic and active students. A minimum age of 15 years is in place, as the style of training is harder than in youth classes. Younger persons can attend training on invitation or approval of the head instructor. Keeping in mind the style of training is set for those to excel in swordsmanship, interact on a high social level, & get fit. Training is held on every Tuesday night unless stated elsewhere. Held in Madgwick Hall at UNE. Near the post office. Visible from the top car park / post office car park.

Youth classes offer the children and teens of Armidale to participate in fencing at the local PCYC. Youth classes generally accept students 8 years old - however it is up to the individual and younger students are accepted. The class is structured in such a professional manner that within 3 months youth members will have a well established foundation of skills. The youth classes are held every Thursday at 4pm to 5pm at the Armidale Pcyc.

Teen classes are held on Thursdays too. 5pm to 6pm through the year unless stated or the pcyc is closed for public holidays. Classes start at 13yo and young adults are welcome too. The teen class offers a select training style to suit those capable of developing a passion to excell in the technical aspects of fencing.

All in training and competitions will be held on Saturdays. 8 years to 80 at the pcyc every 10am to 12pm. With competition dates and times set for 5pm start at the pcyc on Saturdays.

School sports programs offer a 10 week program in the local area: providing an inclusive showcase of western culture and heritage, and successful programs have lead to a great positive student response under careful tuition by our head instructor who has a Masters degree in education. The conclusion on the 10th week, is an an exiting time as formal competition is introduced. The students who do well will showcase the skills and fine art of fencing and if taken seriously can lead to a new sporting outlet.

If you not sure - please give it a try first.

Everyone can fence - and dedication is key.
