GLYCOLIC ACID CLEANSER
GLYCOLIC ACID IS AN ALPHA HYDROLIC ACID (AHA)

Effects of Glycolic
Reduces dead cell build up/exfoliates epidermis
Reduced hyper pigmentation
Helps to minimize fine lines
Stimulates cellular growth/increases cell turnover rate
Improves microvascular blood flow
Improves the clarity of the skin
Prepares the skin for absorption of other treatments
Increases moisture content and collagen deposition
Increase glycosaminoglycan(G.A.G) deposition
Increases epidermal growth
Decreases stratum corneum thickness
(Reference- physicians and surgeons skin resurfacing system)
Sensitivity to AHA Glycolic Acids
Some people are more sensitive to AHA glycolic acid than others. People with high sensitivity to AHA glycolic acid can use fewer products and will achieve the same benefits as their counterparts who are less sensitive and require additional products. Less than 1% of the population are allergic to AHA glycolic acid.

Start Slow
Because it is impossible to predict how every individual will respond to AHA glycolic acid treatment, it is wise they begin slowly and increase product usage as the skin tolerates it. It may take a few weeks.

The outer stratum Corneum becomes thicker with age. The cosmetic Industry has taught us to moisturize thoroughly. These moisturizing agents act much like glue and hold more dead skin cells to the skin’s surface. Progressively it requires more and more moisture to keep this greatly thickened layer intact. AHA glycolic acid acts in the opposite direction to rid the skin of this heavy layer of dead cells.

People who have continually moisturized and have generated a thick Stratum Corneum are going to feel dry for the first couple of days to a week and will feel the urge to add additional moisturizers. They should limit the amount of additional moisturizers they apply and allow the thick layer to slough off. In the future they will require far less moisturizing.

Looking worse the first few days
As the thickened Stratum Corneum begins to loosen and slough off during the first two to three days of glycolic acid use, the skin may appear drier, more wrinkled and cloudier than it had previously. This is normal and as these outer layers of cells slough off, the skin will begin looking better and continue to improve more and more. It is important that clients understand this and do not discontinue use before they feel the products are not working correctly.

Results Check List
A slight tingling may occur
Roughness in skin texture
Dryness or flaky skin
Cloudy, wrinkled skin
Impurities and blemishes may rise to skin surface.
This is both normal and temporary and will disappear in a few days.
Using too much Product
Some people begin using too much product or too many products too quickly and their skin will become red and irritated. They should stop for a day or two. As they begin using active products again they need to progress more slowly.

VITAMIN C 10% & 15%
ASCORBIC ACID (VITAMIN C)

Features of Vitamin C
Protects the skin from UVA/UVB sun damage
Inhibits the development of skin cancer
Co-factor in collagen production and must be present for formation to occur
Stimulates fibroblast cells which produce collagen
Can double the production of new collagen
Thickens the epidermis and “plumps out” lines and wrinkles
Strengthens elastin in the skin and blood vessels
Reference from physicians and surgeons skin resurfacing system
ASCORBIC ACID (VITAMIN C) is essential to health and life. Ascorbic Acid is essential for the production of procollagen, the precursor to collagen synthesis. It also plays a vital role in elastin production. It is also a potent free radical scavenger. Vit C, in the ascorbic form, also reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation and helps speed up the healing process within the skin.

How it works
Vitamin C when used topically helps reduce free radical damage caused by sun exposure, pollution and smoking. It also has wound healing capabilities and antioxidant properties. When Vit C is used with Vit E, antioxidant effects are more potent due to a synergistic effect.

ULTRA MOISTURISER

VITAMIN E

What is it?
Vitamin E (alpha tocopherol) is a major lipid soluble antioxidant in the body-it protects against free radical damage.

How it works
Vitamin E is a free radical scavenger and moisturizer. It also helps maintain barrier function. When Vitamin E is used with Vitamin C, the antioxidant properties are more potent.

RETINOL

What is it?
Retinol is the alcohol form of Vit A. Retinol has been reported to have effects within the skin up to 20 times stronger than the much more commonly used Retinyl Palmitate.

How it works
Retinol is an excellent ingredient for photoageing as it lessens the appearance of fine lines, dryness and sun damage. It will help with hydration levels, leaving the skin smoother and younger looking. Very effective in restoring the “health” of the individual skin cells.

HYALURONIC ACID

Hyaluronic acid is a moisturiser that occurs naturally in the skin. It makes an ideal moisturiser base, reducing the need for other lubricants and emollients. New technology using hyaluronic acid fragments activates the skin's own production of hyaluronic acid, Hyaluronic acid is a must for severely dry skins. Hyaluronic Acid, is the most credible, proven anti-aging ingredient on the market.

Almost half of all hyaluronic acid from the human body is contained in the skin, in the connective tissue of derma between collagen and elastin fibers as well as in the cells of the corneal layer – corneocytes. Hyaluronic acid synthesis in derma and epidermis starts slowing down as early as 15 years of age and accelerates under the influence of different factors.

Compared to other moisturizers, hyaluronic acid has a number of advantages. Hyaluronic acid has the highest hygroscopic property (the ability to absorb moisture) compared to other common moisturising agents such as glycerine and sorbitol. At the same time unlike glycerine it stays active in a dry atmosphere.

It is compatible with skin, does not cause allergic reactions or irritations. Cosmetics which contain hyaluronic acid soften, moisturize and protect the skin, noticeably changing its appearance.

HYALURONIC ACID IS A SUPERIOR ANTI-AGEING, ANTI-WRINKLE INGREDIENT WHICH WILL IMPROVE THE APPEARANCE OF THE COMPLEXION.
