Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan started in the West since 1968, USA. Since then it has reached many other countries and continents including Australia, Asia, South-East Asia, Europe and South America.
As a physical exercise, Kundalini Yoga may help to improve lung capacity, balance the nervous system, support spinal health, as well as many other benefits.
As a mental, emotional, as well as spiritual practice, Kundalini Yoga is offered as a way of clearing one's subconscious blocks, connecting with our Inner Wisdom.
Mantras, Mudras (hand gestures/positions), Asanas (physical postures) and meditative techniques are all combined together in a Kundalini Yoga Kriya (set or sequence of instructions) for a specific effect.
Kundalini Yoga is open to adult practitioners of all levels, from beginners to advanced, and for those with specific health conditions, modifications are provided.
