In 2013 Outside Noosa celebrated ten years in business, a significant milestone for owner/managers John Scomparin and Andrew Taylor and the Outside Noosa team.

Originally from Melbourne, John is a qualified horticulturist and landscape designer, with many years of both retail nursery and hands-on experience to his credit. At age 24 John was recognised as the youngest retail nursery owner in Victoria. During his first five years in Noosa he was instrumental in constructing and maintaining the expansive and distinctive gardens at Noosa Springs Country Club and the adjoining luxury residential development. It was at that time that the gardens received the first of several awards.
Those who know John recognize that landscaping is not just a profession for him, but his over-riding passion in life. He readily applies the type of thoughtful design and attention to detail that is very much in evidence in his own garden to each of his client’s projects.

Andrew began his career as a greenkeeper, working at some of Sydney’s best known courses.

He became Assistant Superintendent at Balgowlah Golf Course in 1993, where he played a major role in golf course construction, renovation and maintenance, as well as overseeing major irrigation and replanting programs. As a greenkeeper, Andrew developed a thorough knowledge of sub-surface drainage, irrigation and plant nutrition requirements. He then went on to pursue his lifelong interest in tennis, as Secretary/Manager at Bareena Park Tennis Club, before relocating to Noosa and joining the landscape management team at Noosa Springs in 2002. He was promoted to Facilities Supervisor (building/grounds/ plant and equipment) in 2006 and joined Outside Noosa in 2007. Andrew is a Past President of the Eumundi Tennis Club and continues to coach local players, including Special Olympic athletes.

Both John and Andrew are hands-on during construction and maintenance projects. They are committed to delivering a high level of professionalism, industry knowledge and expertise to their clients and these qualities are the hallmark of the Outside Noosa team.
