The original building erected in 1902 was partly burnt down towards the end of the Second World War and what was left was used as a boatshed until 1964. Membership at that time is estimated to have been around 20.

In 1965 the club purchased a 20 year-old steel workshop used in the construction of the Trevallyn Power Station for use as clubrooms. However in 2002 with membership at over 100 the building could no longer service the needs of its members.

In 2006 the club moved to a new site in Lindsay St Invermay opposite the Seaport where members currently enjoy one of the best clubroom facilities in Australia with some of the best water that can be found anywhere.
