Harvest Cafe 3.23

Our cafe will soon turn 3 years old, and to celebrate, we've given ourselves a name. Instead of being known as “that cafe in Upper Plenty”, we've became “Harvest Cafe at Stokes Orchard” - a name that was literally dreamed up by our much-loved Grandmother. This is our story so far....

Early in 2014, with the farm outlet heading just next door, we moved into the cosy mudbrick originally built by the family to house those delicious apples, pears and summer stone fruit. We had some fun with the fit-out, gathering materials from around the property and beyond. We sourced our coffee beans from Sensory Lab and our milk from Jonesy's. We perfected our scones, switched on the music, and were ready to welcome the locals.

Harvest was, and still is, a family affair. Front of house, you'll most often meet Fi Stokes and her brother Steve Greenwood, but there are many other special people working behind the scenes, and the team continues to grow.

A few months in, we launched our first full menu, with a focus on simple, fresh and tasty fare. It's our hope and our pleasure to be able to share great food and good times with all our customers, and we're thankful for the opportunity to do so.

Earlier this year we opened our outdoor seating and play area, as well as a new events space, and are now able to offer flexible and family friendly functions.

We're also privileged to currently be exhibiting some fantastic local artwork.

It's been a great journey so far, and there's so much to look forward to. So come on in - we'd love to meet you.
