DES Electrical Contractors (Devonport Electrical Service) is a privately owned company registered under ABN 97 621 630 635

DES commenced operation in 1986, and still retains a number of employees that started out with us in the beginning. We have continually focused on delivering a fast and reliable service to the North West Coast.

DES continues to employee a strong tradesman base with a very diverse range of skills and is currently training three apprentices, with a company focus on maintenance, solar installations and repair as well as small to medium domestic, commercial and industrial electrical projects.

Project manager / Estimator

We employ a full time project manager/ estimator – Craig Hardman, He is available to price any job for you, free of charge. Craig has over 15 year’s experience in Domestic, Commercial, and Industrial applications, including data, CCTV, security and electrical installations.

Grid Connect Solar

DES has installed over 500Kw of Solar in Tasmania and we are well on our way to 1MW of Solar. We specialise in Domestic and Commercial solar systems, and would be happy to price and discuss Solar with you. We only use SMA Inverters and Suntech panels which are both designed for Australian conditions and have had no failures in over 500Kw of installs. Solar installations can have a payback of as little as 4years and currently there are added benefits of advanced depreciation for businesses still available.

Thermal Imaging

DES maintains and inspects switchboards of any size, we offer thermal imaging services around Tasmania. We use state of the art thermal imaging equipment and reporting systems. Thermal imaging reduces electrical fire risk, and in many cases can reduce your insurance premiums.

Energy Efficiency

DES are available to discuss electrical efficiency throughout your work place from office blocks to workshops. We have installed numerous installations of T5 fluorescent and Led lighting throughout commercial buildings combined with Solar to reduce or negate the owners electricity bill. T5 and Led technologies can have a payback as low as 2 years.

Farming

DES currently maintains a number of large farms and food related packing and distribution facilities. We can take care of your pump connection or repairs, power outlets, switchboard upgrades, general wiring, through to design of electrical components for homemade packing equipment.
