We are old fashioned Market Gardeners who grow a huge range of vegetables and herbs on our 18 acre farm set on the fertile flood plains of the Gawler River. We use minimal sprays, none when possible, and plant, weed and harvest by hand. We are frugal with our water using dripper tapes rather than overhead watering and concentrate on growing our produce with flavour rather than quantity and size.
We have glass houses, plastic houses, shade tunnels and open air growing areas, by rotating our plantings though out these different areas we are able to grow a number of our vegetables out of season, ie. we have tomatoes all year round which are grown in the ground, not hydroponically.
Some of the more unusual vegetables that we grow include the beautiful, Purple Cauliflower, manglewurzels, yellow roma tomatoes, purple, and yellow carrots plus so much more, we even have Dragonfruit from time to time.
Find us at the Barossa Farmers Market (Vitners Shed, Cnr Stockwell & Angaston/Nuriootpa Rd Angaston) every Saturday 7.30 to 11.30am and at the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market (Leader St, Wayville) we are in the South Western Corner by the Railway Crossing, every Sunday (except showtime) 9am to 1pm
