AFTRS Open, offers a broad range of film, television and radio short courses throughout the year in AFTRS state of the art Sydney facilities as well as around Australia and online.

AFTRS Open is just that - open. Open to everyone of every level of experience.

We have introductory courses perfect for those of you just starting out and more advanced courses if you’re already working in the broadcast industries and need to up-skill. Someone who is 9 can study Stop Motion Animation. Someone who is 99 can write a script. Anyone in between can pick from hundreds (really, hundreds) of media courses.

AFTRS Open tutors are industry experts who will show you how to tell a story and how to move and inspire your audience. Many have won Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, AFIs, Palme D’ors, Logies, AWGIEs, AACTAs, and just about everything else!
